31st Annual Pharmacological Conference for Advanced Practice Providers - Pharmacological Management of Clients across the Lifespan

Target Audience:

Nurse practitioners, advanced practice nurses, physician associates, primary care providers, and other interested healthcare professionals.

Purpose:

The purpose of this conference is to enable the learner to sue state-of-the-art clinical knowledge about pharmacology to manage selected, complex, acute, and chronic patient populations across the life span.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Apply evidence-based pharmacologic strategies and current clinical guidelines to the management of acute and chronic conditions across clinical settings.
  • Adjust medication therapies based on patient-specific factors, including comorbidities, risk profiles, treatment response, and emerging evidence.
  • Evaluate the safety, efficacy, and risk profiles of pharmacologic therapies while implementing safe prescribing practices, including stewardship principles, PDMP utilization, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze barriers to medication access, including cost and coverage, while incorporating strategies to optimize adherence and therapeutic outcomes.

Accreditation

accreditation In support of improving patient care, University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates this activity for up to 12.0 ANCC contact hours. This activity is provided for up to 12.0 contact hours related to pharmacotherapeutic content. Nurses should only claim credit for the actual time spent participating in the activity.

accreditation_aapa University of Nebraska Medical Center has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for up to 12.0 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.


Certificates will be provided for sessions attended. Attendees should only claim credit consistent with the actual time they spent attending the learning activity.
